NORTHWEST TEXAS HEALTHCARE SYSTEM | AMARILLO, TX | 2015 – 2018 Pediatric Clinical Dietitian, Aramark: 2015-2016 Registered Dietitian II, Sodexo: 2016 – 2018 -- Covered a 34-bed Level III NICU, 12-bed PICU, 29-bed Pediatric Unit, and 60-bed Pre/Postpartum Units. -- Participated in interdisciplinary critical care rounds in both the PICU and NICU, assessing the nutritional needs of neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. -- Conducted comprehensive nutrition assessments, follow-ups, and care plans and created meal plans and feeding regimens that provided patients with a balanced diet and promote adequate growth. -- Provided enteral/parenteral nutrition support recommendations to nurses and physicians for a variety of patients, including trauma, surgical, cardiac, pulmonary, renal, GI, oncology, and pregnant patients. -- Educated both inpatients and outpatients on a variety of topics, including Failure to Thrive, Food Allergies, Obesity, Type 1/2/Gestational Diabetes, Hyperemesis Gravidarum, and Renal, Heart and Liver Diseases. -- Provided weekend/holiday coverage for adult patients in the SICU, MICU, CCU, Medical/Surgical, Oncology, Cardiology, and inpatient Rehabilitation Units, ensuring accurate treatment and recordkeeping coordination. -- Performed nutrition-focused physical exams and documented malnutrition when identified. -- Mentored Dietetic Interns from Texas Tech University, providing guidance on industry best practices, patient care strategies, and building a successful career. -- Recognized for exceptional performance through an evaluation in the peer review process.
