A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for 18 years, Keeley has practiced in a variety of settings: long-term care and rehabilitation; public health and community nutrition; and outpatient nutrition counseling and education. Keeley’s specialties include pediatric nutrition, weight management, maternal nutrition and lactation, food allergies and intolerances, digestive disorders, sports nutrition, vegetarianism, and cardiovascular health.
Over the years, Keeley has learned to take a more holistic approach in her nutrition counseling. She prefers to refer to herself as a “nutritionist” rather than a “dietitian”, focusing on healthy lifestyle and nutrition and their affects on the entire individual instead of a particular “diet” per se. Keeley’s specialty is counseling those who have met with a classical dietitian yet experienced little or no progress. Her method of addressing the whole person and not just “diet” enables her clients to experience breakthrough and achieve success.
Keeley recently published her first book, "The Poisoning of Our Children | Fighting the Obesity Epidemic in America". Her health and nutrition articles have been published by various magazines and websites as well as cited on sites such as LiveStrong and eHow. Keeley’s passion is to empower individuals of all ages to pursue a healthier lifestyle by improving their nutrition status and fitness level.
