Thoughts
I'm Emahlea Wilcher, MPH, RD, LD. I founded New Approach Health because the nutrition field keeps handing people meal plans when what they actually need is to understand what their nervous system is doing.
Most of my clients have tried everything. They know what to eat. They can't do it. They're stuck in cycles of stress eating, emotional eating, or constant food noise, and every diet they've tried has made it worse.
Psychonutrition starts with the nervous system. What's driving the pattern. Why your brain goes offline at dinner. Why you can't stop eating even though you're full. Why food feels like a daily battle instead of a thing that just happens. We calm that system first. The food piece follows.
I work with stress eating, anxiety, burnout, disordered eating, and the gut issues that travel with them. Trauma-informed. No shame. No rigid rules. No diet talk.
Sessions are virtual. Insurance covers it for most people. If any of this sounds like your actual life, let's talk.
