BEYOND THE SCALE: HELPING CLIENTS FOCUS ON BODY COMPOSITION, NOT JUST WEIGHT
This webinar will dive into why body composition matters more than weight alone. It will cover how to explain this to clients, integrate strength-based goals, and use non-scale markers of progress to improve client motivation and retention. Dietitians will also learn how to interpret and apply body composition data to personalize nutrition interventions and better support long-term fat loss and muscle preservation.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Recognize the limitations of weight-focused goals and articulate the benefits of prioritizing body composition in client counseling.


  • Interpret key body composition metrics (e.g., fat mass, lean mass, visceral fat) and apply them to create personalized nutrition and fitness strategies.


  • Implement non-scale progress markers and strength-based goals to enhance client motivation, adherence, and long-term success.
