Amy Isabella Chalker is a virtual Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) on the California Central Coast, specializing in the treatment of Disordered Eating and Clinical Eating Disorders. She seeks to assist clients in examining and developing their own unique relationship with food and body, and in doing so, develop a consistent, supportive relationship with the clients themselves.
Amy often works closely with parents to help them feed toddlers through adolescents in emotionally and behaviorally healthy ways. She also helps guide clients with co-occurring digestive issues and other chronic health conditions, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.

Work History
Amy has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for 19 years, working in a variety of professional settings, including private practice, clinical care, the food industry, and other wellness settings. Her focus has ranged from general nutrition to weight management to her current specialities in Clinical Eating Disorders, Disordered Eating behaviors, Child/Family Feeding, and co-occurring gastrointestinal conditions/chronic illnesses. Over the years, Amy has supplemented her study of nutrition by working with chiropractors, massage therapists, lactation consultants and primary care physicians in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings, including Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Canyon Ranch Health Resort and Spa in Tucson, and in various private practices and centers nationwide. She has presented at the Massachusetts Eating Disorders Association conference at Brandeis University, and has developed nutrition curricula for the peer education program at Simmons College in Boston.
Education
Hailing from Cape Cod, MA, Amy attended Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City and Simmons University in Boston, receiving her B.S. in Nutrition & Food Science, and completing her Dietetic Internship through California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp). She complements her work with continuing education through iaedp and through the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies in New York City.
