Food is incredibly powerful. It has the power to prevent or create chronic disease, to contribute to or alleviate mental illness. The foods we choose to eat have a profound effect on our physical and mental health. My goal is to help people find their way to good health. I take a functional and integrative approach to nutrition counseling, focusing on the whole person rather than a set of symptoms. My approach is also entirely individualized because, with nutrition, one size does not fit all. I work regularly with clients suffering from Hashimoto's thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, type 2 diabetes, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's, fibromyalgia and other autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses. I also work with people experiencing mystery symptoms like unexplained fatigue, hair loss, vertigo, migraines, bloating, reflux, and anxiety. I begin by conducting a thorough medical and dietary assessment. Using that information, we work together to create a personalized nutrition care plan that takes into account your lifestyle, budget, and taste preferences.
