Andrea has 31 years of extensive experience in nutrition and diabetes, both in clinical and corporate wellness settings, she is the President of her own consulting practice, Health Care for Wellness LLC, based in Maryland.

Education

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Institution Administration and has completed an ASCEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her post-baccalaureate program includes the completion of an ASCEND-accredited internship with Sodexo (formerly known as Marriott Food and Services Management Health Care Division). She continues her professional development throughout her career.

  • Awards:  Andrea has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Dietitian of the Year (2013) by the Maryland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Outstanding Diabetes Educator of the Year (2015) by the ADCES (formerly AADE) Capitol Association of Diabetes Educators, and the Outstanding Service Award (2022) by Providence Health Services. She actively volunteers in her profession within Maryland as the ADCES MD-CB Grassroots Coordinator and is the ADCES COI Co-Chair for Diabetes Technology.
