Latest Guidelines for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus
During this webinar, we will review the pathophysiology of insulin resistance during pregnancy, possible complications, and discuss the latest diagnostic criteria and blood glucose goals for the best pregnancy outcomes for the mother and baby. You will be updated with the most recent ADA Gestational Diabetes Guidelines including the latest medical nutrition therapy recommendations. When medical nutrition therapy and activity are not enough to get blood glucose into proper ranges, we will review the evidence regarding medications.   • Provide medical nutrition therapy with updated nutrition requirements for gestational diabetes.

  • List appropriate medications used for gestational diabetes.
