Nutrition Strategies for Female Hair Loss: A Functional Approach for Dietitians
NUTRITION STRATEGIES FOR FEMALE HAIR LOSS: A FUNCTIONAL APPROACH FOR DIETITIANS
Hair loss in women is more than just a cosmetic concern—it can signal deeper systemic imbalances. In this evidence-based webinar, dietitians will explore the integrative root causes of female hair loss across the lifespan. Learn how to assess contributing factors including nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances (like PCOS and thyroid issues), autoimmune conditions, and gut health. You’ll leave with a clear roadmap for comprehensive dietary and lifestyle assessment, intervention strategies, supplement guidance, and when to refer to other professionals. Equip yourself with the knowledge to make a meaningful difference in the confidence and health of your clients.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Identify key nutrients and hormones required for healthy hair growth and recognize signs of deficiency-related hair loss.

  • Assess the impact of life stage, hormonal imbalances (including PCOS and thyroid issues), gut health, and autoimmune disease on female hair loss.

  • Develop comprehensive dietary, lifestyle, and supplement-based interventions to support hair regrowth.

  • Implement a structured assessment and follow-up process, and recognize when to refer clients to other medical professionals.
