Dietetic professionals have the ability to get involved in a variety of areas in order to build a successful business. The presenter will explain many of these areas from her personal experience including social media, public speaking, and media communications. In addition, the presenter will help guide dietetic professional to help build on areas of strength and strengthen areas of weakness in order to build and grow a successful business.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Identify various areas that can help build and grow a business (i.e. social media, newsletters, networking, public speaking, television).


  • Determine areas of strength to focus on within the business.


  • Strengthen areas of weakness so they can be utilized to help grow your business.

Toby Amidor

With over to 20 year's of experience in the food and nutrition industry, Toby Amidor, MS, RD, CDN is a Wall Street Journal best-selling cookbook author, leading dietitian and recipe developer who believes that healthy and wholesome can also be appetizing and delicious.

Toby is the founder of Toby Amidor Nutrition, where she provides nutrition and food safety consulting services for individuals, restaurants and food brands. Her cookbooks include The American Diabetes Association’s Create-Your-Plate Diabetes Cookbook (American Diabetes Association, 2020), The Best Rotisserie Chicken Cookbook (Robert Rose Books, 2020), Smart Meal Prep for Beginners, The Easy 5-Ingredient Healthy Cookbook, The Healthy Meal Prep Cookbook, and The Greek Yogurt Kitchen. For over 11 years she has been the nutrition expert for FoodNetwork.com, and founding contributor to their Healthy Eats Blog. Toby is a regular contributor to U.S. News and World Report Eat + Run blog, Shape.com, Sparkpeople.com, and has her own “Ask the Expert” column in Today’s Dietitian Magazine. For the past 10 years she has been an adjunct professor at Teachers College, Columbia University teaching food service management.

Toby trained as a clinical dietitian at New York University. Through ongoing consulting and faculty positions, she has established herself as one of the top experts in culinary nutrition, food safety, and media communications. In 2018, Toby was awarded by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics the coveted Media Excellence Award.
