PREVENTING AND REVERSING COGNITIVE DECLINE: WHAT ROLE DOES DIET PLAY?
Alzheimer's disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the US. Does diet play a role in the modern treatment plan for cognitive decline? This webinar will review the MIND diet, the Bredesen Protocol and other research based lifestyle interventions for preserving and restoring cognitive health.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Define types and features of cognitive decline.


  • Review known dietary patterns that prevent, halt or improve cognitive decline.


  • Discuss current evidence supporting the therapeutic use of dietary interventions including specific diets, foods and supplements.


  • Review challenges in working with the patient with cognitive decline and strategies for successful implementation of recommendations.


  • Identify patient and clinician resources for education and implementation of interventions.

Lindsay Malone

Lindsay Malone is a registered dietitian and certified specialist in oncology. Lindsay holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Xavier University and a Masters degree in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. She currently practices at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine and is owner of Lindsay Malone Consulting, where she partners with patients, caregivers and organizations dedicated to wellness. In this capacity she works to share her nutrition knowledge as a writer, editor, public speaker and educator. Lindsay's passion for nutrition is rooted in her belief that food truly is the best medicine.
