About the Presenter: Ginger Farias, RD CDE
Ginger Farias

Ginger Farias, RD, CDE, has 11 years of experience as a RD and currently teaches DSME classes, carb counting classes, cooking classes, and nutrition classes for obesity. There she is the manager of a diabetes education center where her job includes teaching other RDs, interns and working together with the local physicians in the community to improve the lives of those with health problems. Ginger is also teaching diabetes classes via telemedicine and enjoys helping change the lives of her patients through motivational interviewing. Once a year, she motivates her fellow employees and customers to raise money for diabetes awareness and research and participates in the American Diabetes Association 5K.
