2007– Present – President/Owner/Certified Personal Chef – My Chef Shirley is a Personal Chef and Nutrition Service located in Northern Virginia. www.mychefshirley.com. Shirley manages a team of personal chefs and Registered Dietitians that provide healthy meals and other chef services as well as nutrition counseling and support for busy individuals and families in Fairfax County and the surrounding areas. She conducts cooking demonstrations, classes, and presentations to individuals and groups on healthy cooking, cooking techniques, and other cooking and nutrition topics. She has been a spokesperson for Suriny Rice Bran Oil and repeat guest chef on “Recipes from the Chef’s Kitchen” Channel 10 in Northern Virginia (episodes 909 and 933). As a volunteer with the White House’s “Chefs Move to School” initiative she worked with Key Middle School. Fairfax County Public Schools now contracts with My Chef Shirley to provide nutritious cooking classes after school to both students and adults in two different schools.
