I use an intuitive eating or non-diet approach with clients. I work primarily with those struggling with weight and their relationship with food. I specialize in eating disorders of all types, including anorexia, bulimia, EDNOS, binge eating, and compulsive overeating.
I have found intuitive eating to be the only effective method to reduce binges and emotional (non-hunger) eating. The techniques include, but are not limited to: using hunger and fullness cues, legalizing all foods, and developing appropriate methods of coping.
