FUELING FERTILITY: NUTRITION INTERVENTIONS FOR MEN AND WOMEN
Today, there is a growing body of evidence that nutrition and lifestyle can have a significant impact on both male and female fertility, and yet women are still told little more than to take a prenatal multivitamin and lose weight. Rarely, are nutrition and lifestyle recommendations made for men. As dietitians, we have the ability to help individuals break the painful cycle of infertility through medical nutrition therapy. In this 1.5-hour webinar, you will learn how to optimize fertility and promote healthy pregnancy outcomes with evidence based nutrition and lifestyle interventions. This presentation has been completed updated and expanded with the latest research, interventions and case studies since it was originally presented in 2016.
Upon successful completion of this 1.5 hour course, the participant should be able to:
Understand the role of nutrition interventions on the reproductive function of men and women.
Implement evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to optimize fertility and promote healthy pregnancy outcomes.
Translate the evidence basis for nutrition interventions in fertility into patient education.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of the appropriate use of dietary supplements to optimize fertility and promote healthy pregnancy outcomes.
