Concerned about how to care for bariatric surgery patients that follow a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle? How can you help these patients stay healthy while honoring their desire to continue to be vegetarian or vegan? This webinar will focus on how to care for the vegetarian and vegan bariatric surgery patient. Recognize the reasons one would choose to be vegan/vegetarian.
Be familiar with 4 nutrients of concern to both vegan/vegetarians and bariatric surgery patients.
Be capable of creating complete meal ideas for each diet stage after bariatric surgery for vegans/vegetarians.
