TAKING CARE OF YOUR GUT: A PRIMER ON MICROBIOME FRIENDLY EATING
Did you know over 70 percent of the immune system is housed in the gut? It is not surprising that Hippocrates wisely asserted "All Diseases Begin in the Gut." Whether your patients and clients are looking to achieve optimal health or recover from illness - the digestive tract and ecosystem of bacteria that lives within it should not be overlooked. Quite conversely, it should be the focal point for dietary intervention. Join Functional Medicine Dietitian Lindsay Malone as she shares a primer on eating for a healthy gut. Attendees will be prepared to educate and empower patients and clients to make food and lifestyle choices in support of a healthy gut.

Lindsay Malone

Lindsay Malone is registered dietitian and certified specialist in oncology. Lindsay holds a Bachelors of Science degree is Business Administration for Xavier University and Masters degree in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. She currently practices at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine and is owner of Lindsay Malone Consulting, where she partners with patients, caregivers and organizations dedicated to wellness. In this capacity she works to share her nutrition knowledge as a writer, editor, public speaker and educator. Lindsay's passion for nutrition is rooted in her belief that food truly is the best medicine.
