There are so many changes this year! You don't want to miss this session if you work with people with diabetes! It's going to be a great session where we review the 2017 standards of medical care, guidelines for screenings, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diabetes as outlined by both American Diabetes Association (ADA) and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). We will also explore medication algorithms for all diabetes patients and some very new algorithms as well!!

Join us as we review the 2017 standards and focus heavily on current revisions and current standards.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Identify 2017 recommendations and changes.

  • Identify when a person should be screened for DM, know the criteria for DX, and also know current treatment goals and blood sugar monitoring guidelines.

  • Determine when a patient needs a medication adjustment based on a medication algorithm.

  • Review early insulinization.

FOR CDEs: This Course Qualifies for CE Credit!

To satisfy the requirement for renewal of certification according to the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE, www.ncbde.org), courses must relate to diabetes and be part of the list of recognized providers of the NCBDE. The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is listed as an NCBDE recognized provider. Because Dietitian Central has been granted accreditation by the CDR, it therefore meets the criteria as an approved provider of CEs for CDEs by the NCBDE. The NCBDE does not directly approve continuing education for any specific webinar or self study course.
