Ethics In Nutrition: Case Studies
ETHICS IN NUTRITION: CASE STUDIES
Dietitians are required to complete a minimum of one CPEU in ethics during each 5-year recertification cycle. Don’t be bored, be engaged! This one-hour course will go over key concepts in ethics through engaging case studies and stories. You will leave the course with a better understanding of how ethics relates to our field and how you can implement the code of ethics into your practice.

This session meets the RD requirement for a unit of "ETHICS" during a 5 year renewal period.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Understand ethics and common ethics terminology.

  • Describe common ethical issues encountered in the nutrition and dietetics practice.

  • Have a better understanding of how to conduct ethical decision making.

Note: The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Academy) and Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) are not responsible for the provider’s interpretation of the Academy/CDR Code of Ethics for the Nutrition and Dietetics Profession or its enforcement as it relates to the scenarios and content presented in this activity.
