Media headlines prompt clicks and contain much nutrition misinformation which leads to confusion among consumers and the public. Dietetic professionals are the nutrition experts and have several avenues they can take to be part of the solution. The speaker will use her own experiences in media to explain the landscape and how dietetic professionals can navigate it to help make change.

Toby Amidor

With over to 20 year's of experience in the food and nutrition industry, Toby Amidor, MS, RD, CDN is a Wall Street Journal best-selling cookbook author, leading dietitian and recipe developer who believes that healthy and wholesome can also be appetizing and delicious.

Toby is the founder of Toby Amidor Nutrition, where she provides nutrition and food safety consulting services for individuals, restaurants and food brands. Her cookbooks include The American Diabetes Association’s Create-Your-Plate Diabetes Cookbook (American Diabetes Association, 2020), The Best Rotisserie Chicken Cookbook (Robert Rose Books, 2020), Smart Meal Prep for Beginners, The Easy 5-Ingredient Healthy Cookbook, The Healthy Meal Prep Cookbook, and The Greek Yogurt Kitchen.
