A PRIMER ON FASTING: BENEFITS, DRAWBACKS AND IMPLEMENTATION
Planned fasting as a means for improving mind, body and spiritual health has been around for thousands of years. Awareness and popularity of this approach have increased with books like The Obesity Code and The Fast Diet, but is fasting for everyone and what sort of results can be expected?   • Identify components required for successful implementation of fasting including contraindications.


  • Review the steps for implementation and monitoring.

Lindsay Malone

Lindsay holds a Bachelors of Science degree is Business Administration for Xavier University and Masters degree in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. She currently practices at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine and is owner of Lindsay Malone Consulting, where she partners with patients, caregivers and organizations dedicated to wellness. In this capacity she works to share her nutrition knowledge as a writer, editor, public speaker and educator.
