HEMODIALYSIS OVERVIEW FOR DIETITIANS

The use of hemodialysis is growing and nutrition management is a huge aspect of hemodialysis management. This webinar will help dietitians in any setting work with this adult population.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Understand the importance of nutrition in Hemodialysis patients.

  • Understand nutrient requirements for hemodialysis patients.


  • Understand Potassium and the renal diet.

  • Understand the relation of calcium and the renal diet.


  • Be able to assess and manage nutrition care in patients on hemodialysis using current research/guidelines.

In addition, she currently works at Fresenius Medical care, the world's largest integrated provider of products and services for individuals undergoing dialysis. She has experience in different modalities as she covered various units within her region. Sabine is very well versed in different disease states since she works at Saint Barnabas medical center Per- Diem. Seeing patients in the hospital, on dialysis, and pre/post-transplant has helped her become a great educational resource for her patients.
