The 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans
THE 2025-2030 DIETARY GUIDELINES FOR AMERICANS: NAVIGATING THE CHANGES AND POLICY SHIFTS
This webinar is intended for Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Techs Registered, and Nutrition students who are looking for insight into the newly revised 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. We will look more closely at the standards to better understand the changes, as well as discuss the statement of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in regard to what the Academy supports and where it has concerns. We will look at how these changes might affect government-funded food programs, including WIC and the National School Lunch Program. Finally, we will discuss how to interpret these recommendations to our patients and clients.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Describe the process for constructing the Dietary Guidelines.


  • Review the evolution of the former Dietary Guidelines, the former Food Guide Pyramid, and the MyPlate construct and their current role, if any.


  • Compare the 2020-2025 DGA’s to the current 2025-2030 DGA’s and detail important changes.


  • Understand the statement of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics regarding the 2025-2030 DGA’s and how we can apply it to our patients, clients, and the public.


  • Describe how the DGA’s might impact federal nutrition programs like WIC and NSLP.


  • Understand the role of the RDN in applying the Dietary Guidelines to the public.

Stacy Ferrari

Stacy Ferrari is a Florida-based Registered Dietitian with her master's degree in Public Health Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has over 25 years of experience in education, wellness nutrition, weight management, public speaking, and health promotion. Stacy is currently working as a nutrition contractor in private practice.

Stacy believes that following sound nutrition practices along with a focus on wellness and fitness are the keys to a longer and healthier life. This belief fuels her passion for sharing evidence-based nutrition information to anyone with a desire to improve their health or the health of others.
