I am a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator. I have had the privilege of helping countless people , find strategies to better their eating habits and lifestyle, get their blood sugars in control, lower their cholesterol and blood pressure as well as lose weight. I work closely with eminent area physicians namely Endocrinologists, OB-GYN, Family practice and Internal Medicine specialists. My areas of expertise include: -Incorporating ethnic foods such as Indian and Asian foods, in eating for diabetes and other health issues. -Intensive Insulin Management -Insulin Pumps & Continuous Glucose Monitoring systems. I work with my clients one-on-one, to develop a personalized plan that includes a meal plan as well as strategies to achieve the goals they wish to set for themselves. On a personal note… I was born and raised in Chennai, India but I’ve called the US, my home, for the past 26 years. I speak English and Tamil. On my days off, I love spending time with my handsome hubby and our sweet daughter, participating in church activities or just chilling at home with family and friends. I enjoy cooking and my dear family and friends willingly or unwillingly volunteer to be test subjects to taste my creations and experiments.
