Work History

Whitney Kitchell currently works as the clinical nutrition manager of a hospital in southwest Missouri. Previously she was a foodservice manager and clinical dietitian for a conjoined critical access hospital and long-term care facility in eastern Iowa. In September 2011 she began working as a part-time clinical dietitian at Winn Parish Medical Center. There she performed nutritional screening and assessment of inpatients and also offered outpatient nutritional counseling. In November 2011 she also began working as a part-time WIC nutritionist in Monroe, LA.

Education

Kitchell completed her Bachelors of Science in dietetics in December 2010 from College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, MO. While in her undergraduate work, she completed a clinical nutrition internship with Skaggs Regional Medical Center, Branson, MO. Shortly after graduation in January 2011 she began a 6 month dietetic internship through Iowa State University in Omaha, NE. Rotations included: public and community health; bariatric surgery; clinical nutrition; diabetes education; and food service management. She has a master's degree in human nutrition through the University of Alabama.
