Our goal is to help you burn fat through macronutrient-based science with the least amount of “diet suffering” (e.g., hunger, cravings, moodiness). We would love to help you, and most of all educate you to feel confident in what you eat, and how you feel! Work History

For the past decade I have had a small private practice focused on men and women who want to improve their eating habits, optimize their health, boost their metabolism, and lose body fat! My referrals are generated from a variety of sources including the Calgary Police Services, pharmacists, fitness centers, sleep apnea clinics, doctors’ offices, and chiropractic practices. Since 2007, I have worked with the University of Calgary’s Clinical Trials Unit as the Clinical Research Associate focusing on research in athletes with Type 1 and 2 Diabetes, Alberta Health Services Diabetes Centre and as a Provincial Lead for Diabetes, and in private practice with Copeman Healthcare. I work with Alberta Health Services as the Provincial Practice Lead for Cardiovascular Care, Digestive Health, and Chronic Disease Management supporting dietitians and healthcare professional in nutrition care throughout Alberta. I have over a decade of experience as a project manager and key leader in translation and dissemination of nutrition knowledge and evidence-based practice supporting dietitians and healthcare professionals across Alberta. I continue to mentor and support dietitians in evidence-based knowledge and experience through interpreting research into practice and supporting dietitians in excellent patient care.

Education

Dayna is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist with a bachelor’s degree and dietetic internship from the University of Alberta in Food and Nutrition Science. I completed a 4-year University degree in Nutrition Food Science and a 1-year dietetic internship from the University of Alberta in 2007. Completion of the Entrepreneurship Certificate Program with Mount Royal University. The program provided the education to strengthen business management techniques for increased success in starting and expanding a business. For 10 years I practiced as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), holding my certification validating my expertise and professionalism as a trusted diabetes specialist. I supported and educated clients and their families affected by diabetes to help them understand and manage their conditions, achieve behavioral and treatment goals, and optimize their health outcomes. During this time, I also held several positions on the local Diabetes Educator Sector Executive board as Treasurer, Web Designer, and Conference Coordinator.
