Drew Hemler is local, state, and national award-winning registered dietitian, practicing in both the U.S. and Canada. Completing a masters in Adult Education, Drew now serves as Lecturer for SUNY Buffalo State’s Health, Nutrition, and Dietetics department; and as Adjunct Lecturer for Hilbert College. Drew also provides a wide variety of nutrition education, communications, and program planning consulting services for organizations and individuals across New York state and Ontario, Canada. Specializing in instructional design, Drew guides health care practitioners in implementing creative, experiential, and Significant Learning Experiences (Fink, 2013) in group courses and community programs and workshops. He has served in several leadership positions for the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, including Social Media Manager, Communications Editor, Conference Chairman, and Strategic Planning Taskforce Committee Member. He volunteers as Teaching Exemplar, Coach, and Mentor for the State University of New York’s Center for Online Teaching Excellence, and is a proud Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
