Do any of you guys have a brand list of protein supplements patients can buy OTC? I know whey protein powder is readily available, but what about liquids?

Reason I'm asking is I rec'd high protein/high kcal diet for an underweight COPD'er with recent severe weight loss. I mentioned can use whey protein powder but suggested she try a liquid supplement instead because more palatable/easier to

I was wondering if someone were low in Selenium how would you provide supplementation in acute care and how much would be given? I realize selenium deficiency would be pretty difficult, but just wondering if this is done and how? For curiosity sake. :)

I am starting up a nutrition counseling practice within a chiropractic office. My employer wants me to find the best nutrition supplementation program to sell to clients. I am looking at Metagenics...was wondering if anyone could recommend any other high quality nutrition lines?

I tried to place an 'edit' in Wikipedia in regards to hemolytic anemia in respect to vitamin E deficiency. It seems the doctor in charge refuses to believe a vitamin E deficiency causes hemolysis, hemolytic anemia. He refuses to allow vitamin E deficiency to be called a cause of hemolysis. I have very low levels of vit D and dr tried me on large amt of vitd . it made ,me really sick .... I also have IBS constipation . Now the 2 of those do not mix . what can I do to get my vit d . I have been sitting outside for 15 mns aday . any thing else I can do. thanks
