Hello,

Could anyone kindly recommend a cookbook for someone going through cancer treatment? A friend is diagnosed with breast cancer and starting chemo and we're looking for a good cookbook to give them as a gift.

Thank you in advance.

Does anyone ever rec the BRAT diet for GI issues (i.e. nausea/vomiting/diarrhea) with a cancer patient? just curious..my facility has the diet and I've been tempted to recommend it on a short term basis (only 1-2 days) for patients who aren't eating otherwise, wondering if anyone has had any success with this. What I've done instead is sometimes just order extra starchy foods on the tray and expl

We are opening up an infusing center (sooner than later) and because I'm the sole RD for the hospital, I will be playing a part in the nutrition education process for our infusion / cancer patients. I have a general knowledge base, but have never "specialized" in oncology, so I'm just looking for any and all quality resources. We are looking to go a

Hello, I have a friend who is asking me for easy to digest smoothie-type recipes for someone who has had colon CA with resection, leading to malabsorption/explosive diarrhea with food intake. She has CA again-another form- and is depleted nutritionally. She works 10 hr shifts and needs to find something to eat/drink that is not likely to cause diarrhea. She does not like any supplement drinks

Hello, I'm a new RD and was placed in the Oncology unit of a 800 bed medical center for my "specialty" area. I have been at this job for about 8 months and absolutely love the population, thinking I may want to get certified in this area in the future. Right now, I'm wanting to build my knowledge base and was wondering if anyone out there knows of any excellent book or perhaps even some time of m
