Lakeland Regional Health is searching for a NICU Dietitian to work in our new Women and Children's Pavilion opening up June 1st! You will be required to provide nutritional care to babies weighing less than five pounds, five ounces and have trouble maintaining body temperature, fighting infection and eating. These high risk newborns require specialized attention from the neonatal dietitian in order to grow and develop. The NICU Dietitian will help educate parents regarding the nutritional needs and feeding practices for their newborns.
Qualified candidates will have:
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, Master's preferred
•Specialized training or experience in newborn nutrition
•1 year NICU experience preferred
•Board Certified in Pediatric Nutrition and/or Nutrition Support preferred
•Licensed by the State of Florida
•Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Desired skills include strong teaching and oral communication, working knowledge of nutrition principles for pediatric and neonatal patients, computer skills and public speaking.
