Understanding the Low FODMAP Diet

The low FODMAP diet has been proven to relieve symptoms in 75% of IBS sufferers, yet it is still largely unknown to the general public as well as to medical and nutrition professionals. This webinar is meant for dietitians looking to increase their understanding of the diet and get started administering it to their patients and clients. In fact, we will uncover everything you need to know about this notoriously "tricky" diet so you'll be able to comfortably discuss the FODMAP diet with patients, clients, and other healthcare professionals.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
  • Understand what the low-FODMAP diet is, and how it can help people with IBS and other digestive disorders.

  • Identify what FODMAPS are and how they contribute to IBS symptoms.

  • Describe the structure of the diet and understand how to put it into practice.

  • Identify the best resources for RD's and clients.
