I work 46 weeks a year. Their are RDs in PA who are working for $9 an hour. One RD left dietetics and became an RN because she fought for $13 an hour and her RD supervisor said no. My highest paying job was $40 an hour as a consultant and $57,000 in LTC. The LTC facility promoted my CDM and terminated my full time position and hired a consultant RD. My friend a DTR left the field to make more as a RN. When I reviewed salaries on Monster, CDMs were earning much more than RDs.
