Charlotte Hammond is a Registered Dietitian, Hatha Yoga instructor, Certified Diabetes Educator, lecturer, and medical/scientific illustrator. Her expertise includes integrative and functional nutrition counseling for weight-loss, chronic diseases (such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer), macrobiotic and plant-strong diets, and integrative nutrition. In addition to private practice, Charlotte delivers medical nutrition therapy for diabetic and renal patients with Dietitians at Home and sees patients for Aayu Clinics. She formerly taught Nutrition for the Culinary Professional at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Chicago. Charlotte has both inpatient and outpatient experience from the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital and Health Sciences System and the Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment. She has taught Hatha Yoga and meditation at many locations in Chicago, and is a member of both the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Yoga Alliance. Charlotte has Master’s degrees in Human Nutrition and Dietetics as well as Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She earned a Bachelor’s in Biology at Boston University. She holds certifications to teach both Hatha Yoga and Meditation from the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago. With curiosity and appreciation, Charlotte is constantly learning and teaching about the human body, seeking to improve the life lived in that body by sharing those insights with others.
