Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Michigan as well as a Master of Public Health in Human Nutrition from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital provided unique opportunities including pediatric cholesterol counseling and healthy recipe adjustments with the Meal Makeover Moms. Before relocating to Illinois, Amy worked for several years at the nationally renowned NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, specializing in maternal, behavioral health, cardiac and surgical nutrition. Additionally, she has been an internationally board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) since 2013.

In her spare time, Amy can be found adventuring with her husband and daughter, savoring produce from her garden, crafting and reading.
