I'm really interested in starting my own consulting business which would focus on weight loss, high cholesterol, hypertension. I live in New Hampshire and I'm wondering if anyone knows what the average charge is for sessions (initial assessment and follow ups). I was also wondering if anyone has documentation or knows where I could find documentation on starting my own consulting business. Thank you!!

Hi,

I commend you for your passion to be self-employed and in control of your own income.

I have been Independently employed for 6 years. I am currently seeking dietitians like myself who might want to consider something totally different from what we normally pursue.

I represent a Wellness Company and we focus on Total Wellness. I love what I do as I am helping families all across North America meet their wellness goals in many different ways. It has been very rewarding for my family.

If you are interested, visit my website and I can give you a quick information call.

Talk to you soon!

Liz

You may want to buy The Entrepreneurial Nutritionist by Kathy King, RD. It includes forms and handouts. I believe you can get it through Helm Publishing, so it would include also getting CEU's:) This is where I would start if I was going out on my own. I'm sure if you "googled" Kathy King, RD, she probably also has a website.

All the best.......

Liz, is this a multi-level marketing company, targeted primarily at selling supplements? I often hear these "wellness" companies advertised and am just wondering?

No, Actually we are a Consumer Direct Marketing Company. Our company manufacturers over 400 personal care and health care products all focused on Health and Wellness.

I have been doing this from home for 6 years. I find that it is perfect for me as a Dietitian as it incorporates every aspect of our training.....clinical and management....I do earn a full-time salary with this company.

For a home-based business, it has been a perfect fit for me as I love helping families aim for Total Wellness. It's rewarding to be in a field where you are working with people who truly want to be helped.
